Adventure Planning (UI Concept)
Description:
This conceptual mobile app is designed to help users plan and track their next trekking adventure. The UI, designed by Sammy, features a dark theme that feels grounded, natural, and inviting. My role was to bring calmness and immersion into the experience through animation. I introduced slow, ripple-like movements inspired by nature — such as water or wind — to reinforce the app’s soothing tone. The animations were subtle but intentional, meant to reduce mental clutter and keep the focus on planning and exploration, all while evoking a sense of calm anticipation.

Brief
The brief was to animate the UI in a way that matches its natural, grounded tone while encouraging a sense of calm exploration. Sammy’s dark-themed design already had a quiet, atmospheric vibe, and I was asked to build on that using subtle motion. I chose to use soft ripple effects and slow transitions to mimic the feeling of nature — like the surface of still water or morning mist. The animations had to feel minimal yet immersive, reinforcing the app’s goal of helping users feel ready and focused for their next trek.
